Identity Theft
What do I do if I think I’ve become a victim of identity theft?
If you suspect that someone has gained access to important personal information such as your Mutual Bank account number or your social security number and may use that for any illegal purpose or to withdraw money from your account, immediately call the phone number on your account statement or contact the nearest Mutual Bank banking center.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) provides a variety of useful information and resources to identify theft, including an ID Theft Affidavit for disputing accounts opened in your name and without your authorization. Visit the FTC Theft Web site.
